Barnaba De Carli

Barnaba De Carli is attending the last year of the Bachelor degree in Naval Engineering at the University of Trieste. He is a member of Audace Sailing Team since 2022. He has been part of the construction department and later moved to design team during the making of Bai - Flying Lina. Audace Sailing Team is a student project from the University of Trieste, with the aim of designing and building sustainable racing sailboats. We are involved in international student- oriented challenges, such as 1001Vela Cup and SuMoth Challenge.
We are not only engineers: our team is made up of more than 50 students, coming from different academic backgrounds and organized into a company-like structure. Our passion for sailing brings us together: the common goal is to push the boundaries of sustainability and innovation, backed by one of the few Naval Architecture schools in Italy and drawing on the deep-rooted seafaring expertise of our hometown.
