Ileana Vitale
R&D Engineer LeaderIleana Vitale received her Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering – Aerodynamic specialization in 2001 from Politecnico of Milano, Italy. In 2002, she started to work at Ingersoll Rand as aero development engineer, where she took responsibility for aerodynamic performance customization of multistage centrifugal compressors, performance testing, and new product development. In 2006, she started a new position as team leader of the new product development. Since then she extended her technical and managerial competencies leading in 2020 to the position of R&D Engineering Leader EMEIA.
She is a specialist in the development of multistage centrifugal compressor aerodynamics from meanline to CFD and optimization using state of the art software’s packages. New products released through the years include an innovative variable speed multistage centrifugal compressor for industrial applications.
